My offsider, if you can’t beat him then…

 I was working in the second hand department of a well known city retailer; We sold mainly trade in & repossessed goods. I got to know many repossession agents one of whom asked me one day would I like to come work for him. Having had enough of retail ( I get bored being in the same place all the time). I said “YES”. My start & total training from him consisted of a handwritten piece of paper with two lines on it : HI MY NAME IS…. & I AM HERE TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT….. & with that I was on my way.
